Whomever it was should be ashamed of themselves. Your strength and openness as you have navigated this journey has been an inspiration. I am glad you are still with us and glad to call you a friend.
Sorry that you are having to fight cancer, and on top of that that you are having to deal with inconsiderate a$$holes that believe you are using it as a crutch! That is F’ed up and you have every right to feel and say what you did!😡 Thinking and praying for you and your family that God will walk you through this and keep you and your family close and comforted down the road to recovery! God Bless You Brother😎
I am sorry to hear that you had a close encounter with this type of human.
Well, Chris, a gift is a gift even when it hurts. Think about it for one second that there is nothing better than someone finally removing the mask and showing you the real person under that facade.
This is something that will make you stronger, another trial from your ordeal that has proven how much courage and grit you have.
I know you like music, so I will leave you with a little song that is very close to my heart when those types of gifts are pushed hard against my face.
Take a good listen to Lost for Words from Pink Floyd's The Division Bell. One day in the near future, we will talk about it.
I just listened to this song twice back to back. There’s a lot packed into it once you really sit with the words. Thanks for the recommendation. It hit me in a good way and probably at the right time.
I'm sorry that someone said that to you and they should be ashamed. I have apprepriated you being vulnerable. Watching someone I love go through similar things and this isn't something I would wish on anyone nor can I see someone "wanting" it to gain attention. Though there are people like that, I know you aren't one of them.
Jangus--I agree, "......not kindness, nor love. That is leverage." They are not worth your breadth or worry. Have faith -- the vast majority of us have your back!!!--Odin
You're not indebted to anyone buddy. Your journey is yours, and it remains a privilege that you choose to share it with us. No one has the right to pass any form of judgement on someone else's journey, they either step up to support or they step out of the way.
These are NOISE, don’t get distracted by a noise; keep your heart to true North as you have been! We continue to stand with you. If I could, I will kick these noises butt!
Just reading this now, 5 days after you posted it, and - hoping the initial anger & hurt is diminished - it gave me a laugh. You’re not usually so blunt. But, like everyone else here, I agree: fuck ‘em.
Can't believe someone would say that to you. Your response is entirely appropriate. There are times harsh language is required.
You should listen to Steve. I would categorize him as a harsh language connoisseur
That's great!
