As the shade of your cancer passes over, by the grace of God and modern medicine… your insights and thoughts on other subjects are just as valuable as those you shared with us about you struggles and experiences.
You have tapped into a new skill and there are many of us who have enjoyed reading your personal perspectives. Thank you for sharing so much. Thank you for all you do and don’t stop writing just because it no longer aligns with your original intent. You have passed through one of life’s most difficult experiences and emerged with new skill… use it.
I totally admire your bravery sharing your toughest challenges with us, and very thankful for sharing your life, thoughts, observations, and views. You have a such a wonderful talent of writing, reaching our (at least me) inner selves through your experiences. If you are okay with it, please continue your blog, and let some of us continue to inspired by.
I will be happy to continue to receive the posts. I was reading just this week about the struggles of "connection" with friends. I'd like to stay connected. Strive on, sir.
As someone who avidly blogged in the 2010s.......write about what you want to write about buddy. Write for you, for Maria, for your boys.....they are part of your life journey, we are fortunate bystanders who have the privilege of whatever you choose to share. You could post knitting patterns or the recipe for a good marinara, my cheering you on is based on what I know of you as a friend. The blogging is a bonus, but its yours to curate, distribute or pause.
I have enjoyed every facet of Shades....I like the way it has morphed into something more than a narrative that provided Insight into your battle with cancer....it has become story-telling now cast with a wider net and I like it! I have always felt that you have a great literary style....story telling at its best, I should point out that, in a way, it's like a Scoutmaster's minute in a more permanent form....don't stop my nephew -- help us explore more trails! --ODIN
I appreciate you opening your heart and sharing your life with us on your challenging journey. I am impressed with your voice. Your grace and perspective have been meaningful to follow. If you choose to continue writing in this space, I'll be right here reading along.
While I can see why you ask, this space is a unified story of your insights and your story. Keep writing about whatever interests you if you enjoy it. You already have an audience. 😊
What started as a way to keep an eye on the progress of your recovery has become a window to peek at you, how you process this world, and insights into your view of the world. I would love to continue reading what is after you ring the bell, what adventures and visions will bring in the future. It is a way to keep you close.
The most important thing here is to continue if that brings a modicum of happiness and decompression; this is not an obligation or a chore. Please keep sharing your world; it makes everything a little brighter.

Please continue.
Since you shared your blog link in an aquarium stream on Twitch, I've deeply appreciated your insights into yourself, and into the human condition.
I would very much like to keep reading your thoughts, as you find the time and ways to express them.
Chris,
Thank you for taking us on your journey. Please keep posting here.
